Nice tutorial for the DIYers, and I love your work. Looking at closeup of first coat paint, it seems the very top end of scratch was not painted, like you missed a spot. At the finish reveal, the same spot shows the defect, albeit very slight. Would you be able to redo that area, if you wanted to?
Question: if I buy touch up paint and use this method, do I need to apply the clear coat on top of the base color before buffing or only apply the base color and not apply the clear coat at all?
Hey man, ive watched a ton of your videos on diamond cut wheels, my question is how do you fix really deep curb rashes that needs to be filled and getting te filler also the same as a diamond cut finish?
Thats impressive. I have a few scuffs on my car that I'd like to tackle. Would I need to get the exact paint color or just a dark? MY car is a dark blue that sometimes looks black.
It looks like the scratches were only in the clear coat, so the clear would probably have done the trick as well. If it's just paint, then paint is needed.
When you say 'solvent basecoat' what do you mean? I've a black Jag with a small green metallic. Wondering what I'd ask for at tge auto parts store? Thanks
What’s the point of the cup to hold paint a fine brush would have put less on and the base was proud so when it’s cleared and sanded the crown of the base coat will be exposed
