This brings back memories of when my dad got out of the army after Vietnam. He had an old tube type hooked up to his base station. On nice clear nights he'd be bleeding over channels and the stereo and TV, my mom would get so upset because she couldn't see the TV. Ahh the good times! A shout out to my parents TheVCkid/LadyPinky (dad) and ( mom) i hope you're enjoying the good life up there in the heavens. As for me this is baby19 signing off, we're 10-10.....(sorry had to say it)
Hello Fellow Amphaulics, Friends, And Supporters Of The World Famous BBI AMPS: Thank you for another wonderful repair video. God Bless & stay safe. TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
😁 sounds just like what happened to me🙈. Except I was using an antenna switcher And that, Antenna switcher blew apart and I didn’t know it Cause I was out on the road doing a radio check with my boy who is at home on the base station when it blew apart. And I lost signal with him and that’s when I knew something was wrong When I got home, I found the problem But it was too late 🤮😳😳. Burned it up Now you have it 😁😁. And I hope to get it fixed 👍👍.
I am trying to find and amplifier that can put out 300 watts all day but only want to operate it at 0-100 watts variable power and in an emergency give me 300 watts that will do AM FM CW and SSB and RTTY whatever that is .and has a good band selector switch .All transistor no vacuum tubes .Want to give it as a gift to an old neighbour who's got his licence .I don't have one .Just an old cobra in the truck he's got something I think a galaxy base station I think it puts out 100 watts but he's got a big old power supply with a variac on it and some real fancy microphone and Morse code key .Any recommendations ?
