Thanks this is a really helpful video. I only have one valve in bad shape and should be able to bring it back to life. I am also changing out the damper felts (where the keys bottom out) and will need to glue the felts down to the metal base plate. Would you use the same glue as used here for that job? What kind of glue you are using ? I got the same problem and like you, I don't want to spend to much money, my friend said to take them off , water them then put them under a book or something like that than letting dry and they straight up, he used to work with leather, thanks
Use Elmer’s. Not the school glue, but the glue all version. Just wet the top of the leather. Don’t soak it,just wet the top and roll against the round screw driver and glue it back on. Best to you.
