Is this a joke video? You've set up a camera position so that your hand completely blocks the action of fitting the device! Then print text over the action to make sure you can't see. The video shows how to add a missing screw lug. What if the thread damage was on the existing fixed lug? The repair appears to show a device that slides over the inner & outer side of the box (where there may be plaster in the way)! This is a lesson on how not to demonstrate a product.
Thank you for your feedback, we are committed to continuous improvement and will take your comments on board. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
You just need to use some creative thinking. It's not a demonstration for every possible scenario. I.e if there is some plaster in the way scrape it out with a screwdriver or such implement. It's not rocket science as they say.
You can bend the screw lug flat against the side of the backbox and still use this clip, or if you watch this video, it'll show you other alternatives. Thanks for watching. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-smo9K496Has.html
It's actually very easy, I use probably half a dozen of these a year. You use an old flat head screwdriver or cold chisel to remove any concrete, or a sharp knife for plaster. Once the clip is pushed into place (after removing the old damaged lug, or bending it in) It creates much less damage than replacing the entire backbox, and cheaper for the client. Also most damage, if done carefully is covered by the accessory. Nationwide wholesalers like Denmans sell them, so they can't be that pointless. Thanks, hope this helps clarify things.
No, not without some modification to the plastic backbox, and I suspect that it wouldn't be strong enough either to hold the clip. But with plastic boxes, simply purchase one that matches, and swap the clips over. If its completely broken then the box will need replacing.
