What type of solder do you use to ensure that the bond is strong enough? I have some silver pendants that need to be repaired but my fear is if I use a simple, malleable, lead-based solder, they'll just twist and break again. Is it some sort of silver-based solder that turns out much stronger?

Yeah so there is a certain solder for silver, and typically comes in 3 types, easy, medium and hard solder. easy having the lowest melting point and hard having the highest. Here's a link to where I get my solder from- www.cooksongold.com/category_select.jsp?channel=uk&query=silver+solder
