Glad you found that problem with the shackle. Dump trailers have a rough life, especially when other people borrow them. I borrow one from a friend, but I usually find stuff to fix on it before I bring it back. Hope you have a good Independence Day as well, Steve!
Yes sir. When I borrow things, I try to return it in better shape than I found it. But to be honest, the person who used it offered to fix it, but he wasn't the person that broke it. So I'm not going to make him fix it. He's a good guy. Thanks for sharing. Be safe
@@firehousecustomfab3286 I've had to actually make new pieces for that style. Seems like the cast Y shaped equalizers hold up better. But most are the channel style, especially on big trailers..

I'm thinking at least a month or two. The trailer has been loaned out several times, and myself and my son have used it for several trips. I had seen the tire rub couple of weeks prior, but was thinking it was the damaged tire that had a piece of rubber rubbing against it, evidently it wasn't
