Sometimes a little knowledge goes a long way. My friend is selling his house and half the windows have this problem. He had serious anxiety thinking he was going to have to replace them completely... Subscribed!!!!!
Great step by step instructional video. A major tip in this video that I have not seen anyplace else is the raising of one side of the pivot shoe higher than the other one, to replace the window. Thank you sir, I had been struggling with that part.

This video is beyond words can explain helpful. I was going to replace my windows but they are perfectly fine except I believe the spiral springs are damaged. So glad yoy posted this video

Great video for sure, however how do you cover up the cut out you made on the frame at the top? Is there a generic balance cover one can use if there isnt one there now?
The cut out part was so minimal that the cover for the balance will cover most of the cut out. I did not do anything to cover up that part at all. Thanks for watching.
