One of things I like most about your videos, is you don't use ridiculous statements. You never say 'this is gross' or any crap like that. You simply say 'this is clogged'; 'she's been well used'. Never the provocative. Just straight info it without the RU-vid-viewer click bullshit. You see the issue and correct, without the drama. I love that.

They can be on air compressors as easy a fix as the overload little button on motor popping out due to it thinking it has done enough work for a bit . . bought an excellent still have it decades later Ingersoll Rand comp that kept triggering the circuit breakers . . the fix was simply an smaller drive belt pulley on the motor

Just a tip for the compressor: turn the switch off whenever it has not done it's full cycle of getting back up to pressure. Switching it off will make sure the air will be released from the motor, else it might not start the next time someone plugs it in due to the resistance the air in the piston house is generating. Another common fault with these is the thermal safety went off and customers thinking the compressor is dead when it's just a simple fix of re-enabling the thermal switch. Great repairathon again, enjoyed the Dewalt bearrings replacement at the end a lot.

I can recommend using a fibre glass pen for cleaning things like battery contacts from corrosion. It leaves the surface with a high polish finish. The only issue with fibre glass is it leaves fine strands that break off as you clean. Just need to be careful not to get the strands stuck in your skin.

you'd think if a strimmer has the air vents right above the cutting head they'd at least have some mesh or something to prevent some debris getting sucked in.

When your woking on a battery if you take a business card and pop it between the contacts you cant allow to touch then fold it over the thicker card makes it safer to work and can take the odd scrape here and there preventing sparks. It's cheap and to hand often enough to keep a couple to use. To clean the contacts I use a 180g or 240g sandind disc pulled through will clean and sand, use one way round then the other. Abrasive removes burning and oxidation, the soft side absors oils and grime.

On the dewalt string trimmer I bought a lot of tools that came with 10 or or more of this trimmers that the motor only sound like it wanted to start but didn't, and took them all to a dewalt service center and repairedthem all under warranty and I own older models a 20v and a 60v and are like 4 or 5 years old and still working perfectly not sure if is a design falt on this particular model, on my other ones I don't use them daily maybe ones a week or every 2 weeks but I also got some Milwaukees m18 with the same issue and have a similar design and also got repaired under warranty

What I always find interesting on these older brushed Makita SDS Drills is that they use the exact same gearbox as the corded HR2470 sds drill. Probably same internals too apart from the gear ratio and the piston probably.

52:03 To secure to the proper force screw it, back up the screw, and screw it back, repeat once more, you have the proper force for the wires not to be undone. This way you squeeze the copper strands more properly.

Cool videos. Very interest and fast repairng, informatve, thank you. I see that tools looks like works many years and breakdown looks easy. But I use my instrument very accuracy))) not long, just for hobbie - and my breakdowns are not reapaired))) Need to replace everything, more easy buy new. How it happens?))) Main problem that I often give my instruments to my friends and can't refuse, this is my main mistake - never give your instrument. One day I gave an expencive Makita edge router to brother of my wife on one week. I'm used it only for finish wood working. After that with my friend we spent a full day for repair it... It was like a new before, after that I got back just trash. How? One week... I'm didn't know, but he cut plaster panels and try to make a smooth straight angles or something like that, of course without any protection. Gypsum for any instrument like hell. It's just like plasticine and clogs all empty spaces, after that motor works very bad, the cooling radiators not works, also all instrument just white everywhere and no way to wash it off, so.. moreover, he lost some complectation from box)))) how?

The Bosch hedge trimmer with the long cord seems a little bit strange to me. All of the corded trimmers I have seen in the last 40 years in Continental Europe - be it cheap or expensive - only come with a very short pigtail cord and some cable hook / strain relief cutout in the grip part. The affixed cord is intentionally made so short you can't even get it near the trimming blades. You have to regularly use a separate extension cord, it hooks into the grip of the trimmer for strain relief. So if you cut into the cable, you just have to change / fix the extension cord and do not need to mess with taking apart the tool itself. Of course, you are advised to use at least an IP44 rated extension when working outside and/or in potentially wet environments. Is there maybe some regulation involved you aren't allowed to do that with british type plugs / extensions or are they just too bulky to be practical?

I like the way you fix broken tools using second hand parts from other broken tools. Very reasonable. I don't like the way you reject broken batteries because it ain't worth it (i understand you though). I think that manufacturers MUST replace their broken batteries for a new ones with some surchange. These batteries are extremely dirty and dangerous for environment. It is absolute squandering to utilize them because of couple of damaged power cells.
