Repairing gouged/cut leather Florsheims 

In this video I repair a deep cut on the toe cap of a friend's Florsheim double monk strap shoes. The owner accidentally opened a door into his shoe, and the door had a sharp metal edge that created a large deep cut in the toe cap. I sanded and filled the cut with black acrylic paint, wet sanded it down, and shined it back up to match. NOTE: there are many ways to fix a shoe, this is only one way. Saphir makes a good product I've used since called Creme Renovatrice. It comes in different colors. Black is easy to match, but the mid brown, brown, and tan colors can be tricky. It's a thick cream that you apply, and like the paint I used, it hardens dry. It's avaialbe at Amazon, The Elegant Oxford, or www.KirbyAllison.com as "Saphir Renovating Cream"
