As the trailer sings the song..."Until we break again". At least the hub will have plenty of grease so that it may skid a long distance when that HACK weld lets go!! Klinger strikes again!
Danke
You have to be a highly skilled welder to that type of deep groove welding. I doubt that you'll get quality welds doing it without supporting your hand. If you trap any slag in those welds, cracks will develop. You also have to let the workpiece cool at certain intervals otherwise the result will be poor quality welds.
They are hardworking people and I give them credit for that. But this repair will not last. There will be a catastrophic failure that could actually kill someone. The guys work hard but the repair is one of the worst I have ever seen.
This truck is a rolling death trap. I see so many more parts near failure that were not even looked at. Even the outside wheel had a crack going from the bolt hole out.
put a big magnet in a fabric sac or a small wooden box. use it to collect metal savings from your machine. then you pull magnet out and saving drop where you want
No power tools, just a couple of spanners, crowbar a hydraulic jack and a lot of elbow grease amazing. I'm impressed with the final wheel nut torque around the 155lb
Lol. I always have a laugh at the beginning of these videos. Pakistan, India, China, Africa ... the lands where overloading trucks always breaks stuff.
I have to commend the effort, but I wouldn't give that axle good odds for long time survival. Welds like this where there is a lot of localised heating massively weaken the material around them. This heat affected material is especially prone to fracturing, and the fact that two pieces were hollowed out for an alignment pin means there's dead space from which a crack can propagate. In effect it is now considerably weaker than it was originally, it wouldn't be long before it fails again if subject to the same loads and driving habits! Unless of course the repair was just so they can retrieve the vehicle and sell it on? 😳
Every step of the process is very meticulous. It's amazing work. All of you are very professional. I really like you guys.
Wow this is dodgy and welding material that thick without proper preheat will more than likely cause cracking before it's even reinstalled on the truck.. this cowboy repair will probably kill someone when it inevitably fails
Human life must be worthless when these things are allowed on the road , ...........it is a bodge ......it will fail again, I pray that it will not kill anyone when it fails again😢 😢 😢
❤ good and great work for you and your team to hear from Pak country DK Udaipur Rajasthan India AAP ki baat kuch hat kar hai, bahut bahut shukriya aapka or aapki mehanat ko slam karta hu🎉🎉🎉
