That type of damage would usually mean the axle gets scraped however, the damage was well re -welded, a collar was added and moulded around the weak point for extra strength and the rebore was done to near perfection ! You guys are so professional , you are craftsmen and impress the hell out of me ! Thanks so much for sharing ; it was great to watch this fascinating repair !
That was probably the best repair for that kind of damage I have seen yet. Repaired the break, reinforced the area with the wrap around, put in a new sleeve and then made sure that the whole was reset to factory standards. Kudos to the workers and thanks for sharing. 😊
Incorrect crack repair. Unknown alloy in stick. No removal of damaged material. Just surface welding over old crack. The original crack is still there under the weld. The strap around the outside is more unknown material. From how easy the strap material was bent with a hammer at room temp it was most likely mild steel salvaged from ship bulkhead material. The strap was not fused to original material just edge welded. Makes for a nice visual but does nothing to add to original material stability. Original crack still visible inside original pin bore. Boring the original material for a liner just made it thinner. As the liner again was just pressed in and not even edge welded the entire pin bore is now only as strong as the liner. This was a good job of covering up failures rather than repairing them. This repair will fail again. I guess it is a good population control device. it will kill the driver and possibly the people near the vehicle when it fails again. A much better repair would be to remove all damaged material. Then weld in the entire pin bore solid with proper rod. Rebore pin hole to original kingpin size.
It’s easy for us in the west to criticize these guys but you do what you can with what you have to work with. They do not have companies like axle dr or access the the best schooling for welders you do what you have to to make a living it might not be the right way but it’s there way

Not even close to craftsman. In the transportation industry they are called hacks. They had every tool to perform a correct repair yet still failed. Nothing about this is CNC as the channel title states.
Please can someone answer me:- why these pakistani don't use work benches? Why do they work with pieces thrown on the floor, in the middle of garbage and dirt? Why don't they wear safety boots, and personal protective equipment? In Pakistan there are no brooms?
No brooms no brains and clearly no fucks given for the rest of the population that has to share the road with the vehicle that uses this hacked repair job
