You know what you’re doing. Very informative. It’s October 2022, i wonder if Taurus fixed this. There are some reported problems with the 856 of non rotating cylinders.

I know what you are saying about Taurus I have 3 in various calibers. My Judge when I bought it it was filthy. But at $300 I couldn't lose. Cleaned it up and about 200 rounds of 410 and easily 500 plus 45colt , runs like a timex . Clean and oil , thats all that it asks of me.

Mine did exactly same issue, but for certain my big MIT didn't touch since I'm right handed shot with single hand, maybe previous owner used both hands or left and caused b4 I owned. Thanks for Sharing video and info, wish you could have shown the actual repair part ,removing/ trimmed part.

Mine is not the stainless steel version and has slight play but not to the degree you had. Slightly more play than yours after you fixed it.

Charles , Thanks for the video. I’m Pretty pissed off. Spent more than a day trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with the Judge. The difference is, I can’t even get my cylinder to release at all (No Play for me) To much of a grouchy bastard - Gonna send it in and Make them fix it ! Would’ve thought these crackheads would’ve put out a notice to buyers about potential problems. It’s Only a Human Life that could’ve been injured or killed ! Go figure

Pretty good video but you left out important steps for the novice. The side plate screws are they all removed counterclock wise or clock wise? (one can reck havoc on the screws if they dont have the correct screwdrivers) Secondly the removal of the metal on the cylinder release....I know what was done but people like to SHOW ME. Additionally the removal of the mainspring and internals....on my S&W's little tools made for removing the springs are a god sent' this would be helpful because people can get into trouble trying to dissassemble the guts. Good presentation on your assessment of the problem, thanks for posting.

Does the Tigger lock key work for disassemble or do I need something specific

Question part NA so got a lot of left handed kin. Would that cause more Taurus revolver problems ?? TY 4 info told them I'd chk 4 them. One has the bigger frame older 7 shot airweight-unk model # & other the m85 5 shot.

Wouldn't this be covered under warranty?

TY sub'd 2 learn more ! most of my kinfolk have Taurus revolvers now ,sadly! So disapointed 2 hear this problem. One CuZ has the PT92 & it now has problems. I feel guilty preached 2 him 2 git a revolver know they R junk also YikeS

Im having a major issue with my public defender, the cylinder is frozen and will not move whatsoever. Im guessing that the bearing is bad......wtf
