My parts came in & I share the two most common fails of this otherwise excellent speaker. I'm the Frugal Facemask...just a disabled guy & certainly not an electrician, so I hope it's simple to follow. Thanks for watching!
Same experience. Love the speaker and then it died. How did you determine the charging port was also bad? I echo the positive comments about your delivery…..straight forward and to the point! Also……where did you get the batteries? Thanks!!!!
I know nothing about batteries. How do you know which ones are compatible? I'd like to put longer life batteries in mine. Charge only lasts 3 hrs at this point.
Word up thank you so much and I completely understand where you're coming from when you say you just love that little speaker I have had three of them and my third one just took a s*** out of nowhere so every time it's been charging issues so you're right they're just very poorly made sucks and heads up go on mercari selling app or something similar if you don't have that where you live I got mine for 18 this time and I've had it since last summer so just wanted to give a shout out and say thank you so much for sharing you were not only informative and actually made sense but you were quick you didn't drag it out and talk about yourself and your life LOL and also you put a smile on my face actually you made me laugh so thank you for the entertainment as well as the information hope you have a great rest of your night and are enjoying your speaker:-) because what would I be without music correction What would life be without music playing on a speaker LMFAO okay thanks again
Good evening. I hope you are doing well. Do you have the video segment showing how you accessed (opened) the enclosure that houses the DC IN 5V AUX IN 3.5mm USB 5V 500mA Ports ? If yes, please post the video. I want to access that section. But, would like to see how you did so.
Yes, how do I go about opening up the speaker? I see you have split it down the middle, but curious to know if there's a special tool or specific steps to follow? I would hate to render it inoperable by my ignorance and brute force. My story's the same bought it loved it then for no reason, poóf it just stopped working. Thank you so much for sharing
i think i have the same problem,. the red light wontt go out and it wont charge so I think its the batteries. Do you have links from where you ordered the batteries and charging port?
It seems to be a standard micro USB port that can be soldered onto a standard circuit board. I do not believe it is unique to the LJ2. I will be making a video of me doing the work before the end of August. Good luck!
I'm about to make a video on repairing, because it wasn't just the batteries. The charging port was easy to find on eBay, and it was only $3.98 total, including shipping. I've never soldered a port like this, but I think it shouldn't be too hard. I'll try find the link, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Look for the video in the next week. I think it'll be worth it, considering it's a $150 speaker you're fixing for $4.
@@nomoreholdingback-withthef7302 Thanks, I saw on EBay. But wasn't sure which ones. As there were about 3 that came up as compatible but looked different! 😎💪
I will be replacing the charging port soon (sick - sorry), and the video should be up before the end of August. You can decide for yourself if it's worth it. I've never done this before, so I'm a total novice. A good gauge of difficulty, no?
