Just a fyi,if u don't know,get some duraglass and use it as the first layer when filling a crack on the outside.Cut that down with 60 or 80,then use the filler.Duraglass is fiberglass reinforced bondo.It really is good for a base,as its extremely hard,and won't absorb moisture as bad as filler.Also good for patches that have been mig welded in
87 is a rare low production year. Knowing the aftermarket stuff back then and how these cars were modified I’d almost bet they originally went on a t top or hard top car.
It’s pretty much a full frame, so it has less twisting than the t top cars. And the hard top cars are more solid than the t top car but only due to the solid roof. I can lift this car directly under the driver door and no flex. You can’t do that with a t top or hard top so they indeed are the strongest
