Please note that the sets changed when the sale went live. I'm happy to see that brush 4 is now included in the Essentials and brush 16 is included in the crease set but note that there have been some other changes and they now have complete collections available as well.
Hi Lexi, thank you for such an informative video! You always break everything down so well so people can make informed decisions. Appreciate all your efforts! 🤗❤❤👏👏
Lexi, such a great and thorough review on Rephr brushes! I picked up face brushes 17, 20, 31 and 4 pieces of the modular vanity set using your link. Thank you for going through all the brushes and letting us know your favorites! 😊
Thank you! At least you know they will do this again in the future so you can wait until you are ready. They always have good deals throughout the year.
How have these held up since using them and washing them over time have they become scratchy after awhile especially the eye brushes ???? I'm sending out love to everyone 💙💛❤💚💜 great video 👍👍
I use mine a lot and the original crease brushes still seem the same as when I first bought them. They are actually my most used crease brushes. I haven't had any issues with any of the eye brushes actually but my 31 foundation brush has a loose ferrule. I have two of them and one is completely fine and one ferrule feels a little loose but it doesn't come off. It's loose where the ferrule connects to the handle but there is no issue with the bristles. I take pretty good care of my brushes and wash them after every 1-2 uses which is more frequent than recommended and everything has held up well with no texture changes in the hair. If you happen to have natural hair that becomes a bit scratchier from any brand, I would recommend conditioning it once or twice to get it back to its former glory.
Thank you! This was incredibly informative and helpful. I’ve just placed my first order from rephr and I’m really excited to try these brushes. The amazing discount isn’t too bad either 😊
Good morning Lexi, You look gorgeous loving your eye look and hair. Thank you for all your great recommendations & explanations to how well each brush performs and the softness of each one. Have a great day. 🤍
Stalking your videos to find the review of the 31 lol! Would you please advise if you feel you like the 31 better than the Sonia G jumbo base? Or on par? I just bought the jumbo base and need a backup, unsure if I should get another on go for the BOGO and get the 31.
I love both brushes tbh. The 31 is one of my most used foundation brushes. It is not as soft as the jumbo base but I think both shapes are very useful. I have a video with it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u4s9z-O44fM.html I have 2 of each brush because I use them both a lot! I tend to use the sonia g with more serum like foundations and the rephr with thicker formulations.
Thanks Lexi! I just picked up the #4 and 21 using your link. I’ll probably pick up a couple more before the sale ends. I have so many brushes and I always promise myself to stop but I’m a sucker for a new shape-#31 is in my cart😘
I wouldn't say scratchy but they are not the softest goat hair. I would guess that most of the goat hairs are Sokoho which is a bit rougher than the Saikoho that Sonia G uses. I think it depends what you are looking for because these face brushes are great at applying product and I really tend to love the face brushes except for the powder brushes. I think those are nice but for a big fluffy powder brush, I tend to prefer something super soft like squirrel hair. From the rephr powder brushes, I like the 25 and 30 a lot if I am dusting powder over something that is not fully dry (or my skin is oily) but if I am looking for something very soft, I reach for other brands personally.
I think it depends on the foundation but I use the rephr 31 more often. I like the Sonia G more for runnier foundations but I find the rephr 31 to be more versatile and I like having the stippling fibers which can really bolster coverage without looking heavy.
Hi Alexandra! To complement the Sky Eye set, I would add in a pencil brush like rephr 26 or 3, I would also recommend another crease brush or two - either rephr 27 or a combo of 13/15 or 14/16. I think it is helpful to have an undyed goat hair crease brush but you might already have one. For face brushes, the Sonia G master face is an all-time favorite. From rephr, I think it depends specifically what you are looking for but the 4 and 24 are both great for bronzer. I also use the 4 for blush and the 24 can also be used for foundation and I like it for cream blush. The rephr 20 fan brush is my favorite fan brush for highlighters - I would highly recommend that one! Brush 31 is an amazing foundation brush. I also like 17 for cream blush but I usually just use whatever foundation brush I used that day. For a powder brush, I think both 25 and 30 are great but I use 25 more often. For a regular blush brush, I like number 5 (and if you don't want a big powder brush, you can use this instead). Figure out your needs and just pick a few from this list. These brushes can be used for multiple purposes so you could do everything with just brush 5 and 31 or 5 and 24 if you really wanted to. I hope this helps and please let me know what you decide and if you have any other questions!
@@LexiJong Wow Lexy! You are si kind!! Thank you for your help!!!! I am wondering wich eye brush set Sonia’s G recommend more the blue or the red one? I am collecting brushed now, doing an invest un that Instead of too many make up! So I purchase the Sky Face Set the Pro Set and the Lotus Set. They are on the way! I also want to buy the fusion set and one eye set that’s why I want to ask you wich one do you recommend better ⭐️ Right now of REPHR I bought: 24,05,04,18,19,01 and 3 😊 and slowly will buy more 😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@AleSchwartzman rephr has great sales so definitely stock up during one of those! I honestly think both sonia g eye sets are worth getting at some point but the sky set is my favorite. The soft shader in particular is my favorite eye brush - I have 5! You have made some fantastic purchases!
Do you mean on the eyes or on the face? On the eyes, I prefer something flat like the 28 or I think the 1 & 2 work well in combination for loose eyeshadows also. For face powder as a foundation, I think more dense brushes like the 17 work best but it is fairly small. I have always preferred a small kabuki brush for mineral foundations and I don't think there is a brush in their current line that I would choose over that. Thank you so much Emily and good luck!
@@emilyfussell6173 something like this might be a good choice bit.ly/3qG67tO but it is expensive because of the decorative handle. There is one left of this koyudo brush on sale for $30 on fude beauty that might be a good choice myshlf.us/p-388004. Otherwise, I would try the Sonia G Master Face.
