With all the engineers these companies have they can't come up with a better way to change a light bulb other than taking off the entire front grill? Good thing for RU-vid. kind of ridiculous how much work they want you to do for a job that should take 5 minutes!
They don't want you to do it at all. They want you to bring it to them so they can charge you a lot of money to do what used to be a simple job. Sad !!!!!
After 15 years, my driver side low beam went out. Your video inspired me to replace it myself. Replaced both side's low beams. However, I was able to do it by only taking the top of the air filter box off on the driver side. I lost a little skin and I should have taken the whole box off like you showed. I wound up dropping both light bulb covers and it was a booger bear to fish them out.
That's funny. Tha'ts how I tried to do it the first time and then I discovered it was way easier to just take a minute and remove the air box. lol. So you are not alone! Glad you got it done and thanks for watching.
45 seconds on the left side looking at the car and under 2 mins on the drivers side, you do not need any tools to replace it if you would like i'll make a video and upload it SMH
You can replace the passenger side low beam without removing anything. Its a little tight but there is enough room. Both high beams are also easily accesible following the same procedure of replacing the light bulbs.
Very helpful video! I'm and old guy and back in the 60s and 70s you could change a headlight in five minutes! It's a shame, because at a GM garage they will hit you with $200 in labor, just to change the bulb! 🙄
Thanks Wythe. I am an old guy too and I remember how easy it was to work on almost any car. Back in the day. Lol. Not only that. The old glass bulbs seemed to last a really long time and they never yellowed!!!! .......Ahhhh the good ole days.:0)
