This video is proof that Jony Ive was left alone for far too long after Job's death without common sense oversight. What an absurd amount of work went into this design all to shave off what - 2mm of thickness of the laptop that no one asked for, let alone needed?
@@jaza41 of course they matter, and they matter alot. Without them the hot exhaust air will recirculate back to the fan way easier, not to forget to mention that the air the fans try to push through the heat sink will escape to the sides before the heat sink too. Airflow will always flow the easiest path, that's why the seals are designed to create a barrier in the way that they are to complete the exhaust fan pathway. Ultimately this may lead to a fans full speed situation and extreme thermal throttling, possibly wearing out the new battery prematurely as well as many other performance disadvantages.
I just replaced my battery and my trackpad and keyboard are not working, checked the connectors and they seem to be plugged correctly, what else could be the problem?
Check if the retention clips are fully secure in the connector and that they are fully closed. If only the track pad and the keyboard do not work you may need to replace the top case and or the track pad flex cable!
