I had a general idea but this just helped with all the specifics like the way the plates go in with the rounded side first

Simbelun that s*cks maybe you’re wrench is busted? Or the threads where overtightend in the past? Anyway these are the specifications by the manual. Just checked it; 12Nm is correct. You’ve got the Suzuki bandit 2001 I assume?

Yes, i've checked the manual as well, they say 12nm. Yes, mine is 2001 600cc. I don't know the exact cause of this (i'll check later if my tork wrench is calibrated), but i've found out on facebook, that it happened to some other owners as well. Some of them told me that torking springs to 10nM is enough. The real problem now is to decide wether to use the old clutch hub or replace it, because the threads are a little bit damaged (some metal scraps got out when i pulled out the screws).

@@vanhoutsdeket Is it a good idea to install new bolts and springs at same time? Or not necessary?

The clutch of an 1200 is completely different. Sorry for that. Hopefully you wil find what you need!

thx for that, i have a repair manual for the bandits up to 2006. but on the pics and in the text its very complicated. videos are easier to understand, you know what i mean? ^^

I understand =D Thats why i made the video ;-). Good luck with the replacement ;-) Though I thing you can use about 50% of the video for you're own replacement! Only not the importend stuff except for putting the rings in :-P!

If you look closely you can see that when he takes them off they're in a 1:1 ratio, they just all come off together, stuck together by the oil. he then reuses those plates in between each new clutch plate.

+Kris Schobben Mijn technisch engels wat op het moment van de opname niet 100%. Dit was ook meer een out of the blue opname en een opname van 5 jaar geleden (dit is een re-upload i.v.m. copyright achtergrondmuziek origineel) Over het soms onduidelijk praten heb ik een simpele verklaring. De camera waar ik mee film is een oude "compact-camera" Hier zit niet een super microfoon in wat betekend dat als ik mijn hoofd weg draai van de camera om bijvoorbeeld gereedschap of onderdelen te pakken het zo kan zijn dat het omgevingsgeluid mijn stem overkoepelt. Hierdoor lijkt het alsof ik zachter praat terwijl dit niet zo is. Ik had graag nog een keer alles opgenomen maar tot dusver functioneert mijn koppeling perfect en om dan alles weer uit elkaar te draaien voor soms wat wegvallend geluid is dan niet echt mijn eerste prioriteit.

+Kris Schobben bedankt voor je feedback. Dit is echter een bewuste keuze geweest omdat ik het zelf haat om ondertiteling te lezen tijdens een uitleg en daarom liever luister. Daarbij is mijn het naar mijn mening zo dat meer mensen engels verstaan dan dat er mensen zijn die engels kunnen lezen, denk aan analfabeten of bijvoorbeeld zoals mij zelf met de Italiaanse taal; ik kan het "redelijk" goed verstaan, maar niet goed spreken en niet schrijven/ en slecht lezen. Daarnaast is dit natuurlijk een hobby van me en ik vind het leuk wat te editen en zulk soort dingen, maar om dan al deze tekst te gaan uittypen en vertalen... dan heb ik nog wel wat leukere dingen die ik weet te doen zoals me motor aanzwengelen :-P (ja noem me lui, ik noem het free-time-management) Daar niet van hoop ik in ieder geval dat je van dit filmpje wel iets van geleerd hebt wat dat is mijn uiteindelijke doel geweest;-)
