I’m glad I saw you do it without taking the whole fan out, other videos were showing way more disassembly and moving the reservoir out also which seemed unnecessary. I’m going to try it your way at a truck stop this week.
@@makincash3337 yeah bought a fan clutch at Fleet Pride for $600, was close to a $1000 at Freightliner and changed it at a Flying J in about an hour or so. It’s tight, but you can do it without removing the radiator, you will have to move the fan around once unbolted in the shroud to get good access to the clutch bolts. But you can do it as this video shows.
You didnt remove the radiator shroud correct? Also im thinking its my fan clutch thats broken because my truck overheated because the fan didnt come on however right now it seems to be works fine so is intermittent working a sign its goin bad?
Did you remove the radiator shroud because mine has one on my truck and I'm hoping I don't have to remove it, can't really tell from your video if yours has one or if you removed it before doing the video.
