Video was short and helpful 👍 I know there's a gasket between the BPV and Exhaust Pipe, my question is was there a gasket between the BPV and Turbocharger? I didn't see one when i pulled it, just rust and possibly old red silicone. The BPV --> Turbo has a circular pin at the top, so im guessing if it did have a gasket it'd have a tiny hole or notch? 🤔
Hello. The 7th nozzle-dosing is only activating on regenaration to increase the exhaust temperatures ? Because I have an issue with regeneration and the exhaust temperatures is not going above 200oC..
I have a whistle I can't find. Don't lose any boost and can't find any exhaust leaks. It whiskers as I let off the accelerator on a hard pull. Could it possibly be a leaking bpv? Thanks in advance.
Technically plug and play, no reprogramming unless ECM needs an update. Otherwise, sometimes you can simply clear codes or you may need to drive truck for a while, depending on derate code, if you have an active code.
I call BS on this post. Host says "We're going to change the BPV...Alright, it's gonna be fun". The the next shot is, "Alright, we got the BPV off already". Poster shows coolant drained, no explanation for anything.
Are the coolant line that run underneath the bpv known for leaking? I have a coolant leak in this area and was wondering before I replace. Thanks in advance!
@@jimmyerobinson1439 they have been know to leak. Depending on where it's leaking, you can either replace a washer ring or o'rings. The lines themselves won't leak unless the rubbed against something.
This is why we hate these mechanics like this . slow drll tap 10 minutes plus new screws simple fix $50 . No sir we have to change the whole Bpv out for that TINY SOOT spot now your new Bill is $3500 8hrs labor.. SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!
