I put this video together because, even though it's a pretty simple fix, information on this is pretty sparse. If a clip snapped of of your board, and you want to replace it, I hope you find this helpful. Thanks for watching!
thank you for this i accidently broke mine when i was taking the graphic card out, i forgot there was a clip on it and i was so worried because my bf repeatedly told me to be extremely careful with the motherboard and graphic card. when i told him, he was so disappointed.
Bought a mobo that had its top lane clip broken off but the bottom lane still had one. This video really helped me make sure not to break the other one. Thank you!
Tip to get a replacement clip: try to reach out to the manufacturer. I've managed to break the clip too, I've emailed asrock and they sent me one within a week.
Dude, the clip on my ASRock board literally just snapped on me too! I love the board, it’s served me well, but why is the plastic such bad quality on these clips? Over on Reddit it seems like everyone is having the same issue, wtf. Small world. Were you able to find replacements, or did you figure out another solution?
@@steele_heart77 I found somebody selling a broken version of my board for parts on ebay for 30-40 dollars... These boards tend to break a lot which I don't know if it's a good or bad thing lmao
Great! As I also have as Asrock mobo (pretty sure they have a quality issue on PCIE clips...) can you maybe link to this particular brand of PCIE? Many thanks !
