I have a Breckwell p2700. Today I noticed a little smoke during fire up. I shut it off then saw smoke coming out of the front door, around the glass. The door gasket itself is good, as verified with the"Dollar test". But the grooved pieces holding the 3 piece glass together are not air tight. Also, there's no gasket at the bottom of the glass. Is this normal for the Breckwell p2700?
Your stove works on negative vacuum pressure so if there is a leak in the door gasket, it will suck air in, not leak out. If you have smoke leaking out the door gasket, either your stove needs to be cleaned or your exhaust fan needs to be replaced.
I removed my glass gasket on my quadra fire classic bay, but it must have disintegrated it's around 15 years old. Do you put the gasket around all three windows, or only on all three sides? There is no information anywhere. Figured I'd ask a pro.
