I'm curreently having my MX's front drive motor replaced (under warranty, thank God). This video was very helpful. The SC has scheduled a week to complete the job. It looks like a front end alignment will also be needed to complete the job.

Excellent video! I'm super curious as to what kind of impact would damage the drive motor, but not any of the bodywork or undercarriage.

That was a really interesting, informative and well-made video. However, you forgot to mention one very important detail! How much did the complete replacement off the drive motor cost?!- this is a detail most of your viewers and myself are interested in. There are a lot of misconceptions on maintenance costs and repairs for Tesla e-vee's . Please respond . Thank you and best wishes

AMazing video!!! did you apply grease onto the front shaft? And how much was the motor? and why do you mark it with a paint pen?

I was wondering if you were gonna tighten the axel nut. But you saved it for last 👌🏼

Yes it’s one of the last steps. The torque specifications are very high so it must be torqued on the ground after the wheels have been installed 👍🏻

With this replacement, did you have to have Tesla reprogram the new drive unit to the vehicle?

Hi, do you need to reprogram the new drive unit with toolbox? I changed mine and I have problems with the car today.
