Those solid mounts are nice but they let a lot of vibrations into the car. I have done solid bushings on my lower control arms and I love the way it rides.
yeah I've heard that they do give you a lot of NVH but only at idle, I'll have to try them out and see how they preform. Where did you get the bushings for the lower control arm?
Man nice video I've dreaded changing this mount out lol! I should've done it when I had the battery and intake off this weekend...by the way, if your crossmember engine mounts are the ones that keep breaking, you can try getting the prothane inserts (ES 7.1110) that go on the sides of the mount (you'll need to shave them a bit so they fit); not as much NVH as full prothane mounts...also read on the forum that the best combo is full prothane passenger and driver side mounts but leave OEM Nissan crossmember mounts...if all are prothane it's too much NVH for daily driving.
thanks for watching bro! I thought for some reason that these only fit manual p11s I guess I was wrong. For me its the crossmember mounts thats keep going out, these inserts might be a good alternative to not get a lot of NVH. @@ERICSDIYGARAGE Thanks haha I enjoy taking photos more than making videos. There's one (really old) forum post called P11 bushing replacement guide where someone installed the inserts on the P11 and he had to shave them a bit so they'd fit but other than that they should work. Keep up the videos! I'd love to see an update on your G35.
I know that Charlie sells kits for all 4 mounts but im hoping that these red ones fit and last longer than the OE mounts. I got them from amazon, do you need the link or do you want to wait for me to see if they fit
