That transition to the sponsorship was *slick*! Yeah, I bought those Rumble and Frenzy headphone things as a kid and used to use them. They must be some of the least comfortable headphones ever created. I still have them but I haven't used them in a long time so I can't comment on the sound quality. I also still own the shattered glass ravage thumb drive, except mine works and has some school projects on it from a long time ago. Used to be fun to sit in class and mess with it while working on school projects.
There was a time, before MP Soundwave, that the Device Label Soundwave was the definitive version of the character in CHUG displays. I had the KO Ravage USB drive, and all 128Mb of storage worked fine on mine. You really needed the Blaster USB hub with all of those connections. 😁
How shocked some may be when discovering that the original Soundwave and his cassettes were actually modeled after Microcassettes and Soundwave + cassettes being an actual "to scale" Microcassette + Microcassette Recorder.
So we're not gonna talk how Blaster was a real working radio in Japan during the Microchange line? (Before Transformers) Perceptor was also a working Microscope, and there were several transforming lcd watches in the line too. You're basically living the lifestyle that Takara intended with Microchange!
Really love your vids man. The quality and effort you put into these videos are incredible. I’m actually curious how you put these together (how you map these out specifically). Would you ever consider tutorials how you create each video? Like script, audio, filming, editing etc. I really enjoy this style of vlogging.
Love it. I have a lot of these, except that phone - which I really gotta hunt down. HOWEVER - You missed one that I've been having all the trouble getting, and I assume that's why you haven't done it... there's a BLASTER USB HUB that looks like a tiny laptop? They're either outrageously priced, or just hard to find. Would love to see what they're like one day. :)
Firstly, I love your content and every time you do one of these videos; I’m amazed that there’s more of this crazy ideas out there and that you’re willing to test them out, cheers! Second, I’d like to say, I do have the USB Ravage… and it works for me! Picked it up a few years back, don’t know why or remember where I found it, only that I couldn’t resist having the coolest usb since that old Android bot I messed with when I was a kid. But hey, figured you’d like to know. Keep up the great work, mate!
Between that well edited Sponsor segment & learning that there's a toy phone that turns into Optimus Prime, I can now confidently say that you earned a new subscriber.
I do think your USB drive could be easily modded to be functional. It's a bootleg, meaning it does not lose value if you repair it. Just meet with a local electronics repair person and they'll help you figure it out
"that's not what a cassette player looks like in any world." Tell us all you have never seen a "walkman" without saying you have never seen a "walkman" challenge PASSED!
I have seen a Sony walkman, several lol. And just to double check I spent an hour looking up every walkman before finishing this video, and no, soundwave does not look like any of them lol.
I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been more functional transformers electronics these days like with parts get smaller and engineering toy designs getting easier I could totally see it; heck I wouldn't be surprised if someone took the Core Class Soundwave and shoved an MP3 in him somehow. I mean I know 99.99% of the population uses their phones to carry music now but I'm a nostalgic straggler when it comes to this sort of thing. Well that and I got a phone with no SD card slot so I only got so much space and Honkai Rail is big.
I have never seen these lots of real item Transformers like the Nikes and the Cameras, but actual functioning items? :o That's crazy even if they aren't that great 😂❤️
Hey, I use those same ESR Magsafe car chargers too! They're really great as a vehicle magsafe charger that stays decently well on my airvents. (By the way, great video, you're making me want to buy things I shouldn't...)
Heres an idea for differentiating from the electronic or not electronic versions in the future! I assume these are shipped with a battery for the device? If so, the packaging should have some fort of warning label on it for the battery inside, and I would assume the non electronic versions wouldnt have any need for that label
I found the USBs without any issue, it might just be popping up, so you can find them now. Both on ebay and amazon. (2/25/24; adding the date because it could change)
Fun fact about the mouse ones. It was repainted into Grimlock colours but was also supposed to get a Overkill and BW Dinobot colours, but they were canceled. Also, Tigatron also had a USB figure too.
Call me Albert Einstein, but I think it would’ve been a a better idea to make the transforming phone into either Rumble or Frenzy. Mostly Frenzy because of when he transformed into Sam’s phone in the first movie.
Now you just, uh, need the Optimus/Xiaomi power bank, Blaster usb hub, and I guess the music label Optimus... Although that is just a standard G1 Optimus with an ipod dock instead of a trailer, so does that really count?
I enjoyed this video, but warning to all of those interesting Status sales knock off products with terrible QC, I used to be an active buyer from them but post pandemic their products haven't been up to snuf
That normal size, mini, and micro also apply to sim cards (those chips that get your mobile plan on your phone from your carrier), though I think with mobile phones mini sim caught on longer than with mini sd cards as there are still phones that still use full size and mini sim cards (also with the assistance of an adapter) today.
Not gonna lie, my snobby audiophile side made me laugh when you said "i do a lot of audio mixing" while you showed headphones that werent made for mixing 😂 I knoww, i know, as long as the end result is good, everything works. Just as a quick tip, if you plan or intend to sell or use those headphones, i assume they can use Koss Porta Pro earpads, not only they would look and feel better, they should sound better too. Those foam pads do desintegrate with time, so i do trust they were new
Is it just me or is there a video from your channel talking about nostalgia and mostly the robosen optimus’ missing? I know for a fact it was your vid cuz of its quality but I can’t find it anywhere
Hi. It's strange that no one has developed this topic, but it's a cool idea for those who can not completely give up the smartphone, but want a break from it and just remember and love button phones. Do you know of any other button phones that can connect to a smartphone and work as a headset?
Why didn't you show the Blaster laptop/USB hub, or the Optimus Prime pen? Also, if you buy a cheap, small external speaker (such as an unpowered one) with a a phono connector, you can attach it to Soundwave's shoulder. Then, just install loads of mp3 files featuring voice samples of G1 Soundwave and you now have a speaking Soundwave figure. That's what I did with mine.
Funny enough I'd consider that wired mouse a upgrade over the wireless one but that's cause I have yet to find a wireless mouse that didn't suck a fat one for gaming
@@primalconvoy the creators explicitly said he was based on the TPS-L2, and "some concessions had to be made in order to turn this into a transformable toy."
