Good afternoon everyone. In this video I replace all the clutches on this 2017 Cub Cadet Challenger 500/700. The real question is, did this fix the customers issues? I have the 2015 Massimo 700 MSU, which is just like the Yamaha rhino I just finished replacing my wet clutch drum kit and the primary clutch. I had just done it about six months ago. The wet clutch brand I used was the Vivor brand. It did have the lines in the drum when I took it off. I did go ahead and replace it again on the wet clutch kit. I went with the Niche brand for some reason, the first primary clutch that I got completely came apart internally could’ve been my fault. I do drive the hell out of it, so I just replaced everything again. I did use the belt from the Yamaha dealership for a Yamaha rhino and it works excellent. I also replace the gearshift seal which was for a Yamaha rhino also and it was an exact replacement and good quality. I have also replaced both rear CV axles which I ordered for a Yamaha rhino and they worked on my Massimo. as well as the brake pads I replace those with pads for a Yamaha rhino 700. I’ll see how long the Niche wet clutch brand holds up and hopefully the primary last a little bit longer if not, I may try the Yamaha brand next time. I am trying to find that code, reader or scanner that is used. No luck yet.

Thanks for the feed back on the yamaha parts the will cross over. That's good info to have. I actually bought mine from massimo. But I would try to contact Terry at norwestsuspension.com he sells what's called the hud hacker kit for your computer so you can also try to tune you're ecu. Tell him Cyle referred you.

How is the amazon clutch replacement holding up ? Another contributor used a Vevor wet clutch assembly from Amazon and reported it was junk after just a few days of running it. Suggested going with a OEM rhino 660 wet clutch assembly.

I haven't had and issue out of the wet clutch set ups from Amazon. But that would be due to my customers not wanting to spend the money on the o.e.m. Rino stuff. A lot of guys use the Rino oneway bearing & wet clutch stuff. Now I don't know if the wet clutch drum are the same length & shaft size. Indeewoods channel talks about what he did to make is unit haul massive amounts of wood & have a low gear range.

Had almost exactly the same thing happen to the hisun 750 previous owner had wet clutch replaced. Just before we purchased it. Once i removed primary clutch i found the nut embeded into bearing in cage bracket and rounding the teeth on the primary clutch Thanks for your great videos and help answering some questions on another video.

The wet clutch drum, wet clutch, oneway bearingwere brand new because the customer replaced it before head had this failure just after replacing everything. I put a new wet clutch drum & oneway bearing in it & a new outer primary clutch & new secondary

Hello, I recently acquired a Hisun Axis 500 from auction for cheap as a project to learn more about UTVs before I invest in something more expensive. I think it has a similar issue with the clutch. While it can move, it struggles up any incline and can''t really get up to speed in low or high range. Here is a clip of what the clutches look/sound like in neutral. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BnKJdJPZ9E0.html I can't really move it too much by hand and it sticks a bit too. This unit has under 250 hours and just over 100 miles on it. I've replaced or verified good operation of pretty much most of the air/fuel systems, but my knowledge of mechanics beyond that is limited.

The belt is definitely sitting way to low in the secondary clutch that's for sure. I would go through all the clutches & then check the cam lobes to make sure they are not wore off.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 Thanks! Compression was at 180 PSI when I tested today, but I will also check the valve clearance and cam lobes when I get some time this weekend. I have a new wet clutch assembly coming in Saturday to start with and will work my way through the clutches.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 The cam lobes were fine. I disassembled down to the wet clutch tonight and the two things I saw were the rollers were out of their slots and the padding was gone on the shoe. I need to replace some of the 6mx40mm hex bolts that look corroded too. I am hoping once I can get the rest of the things on Monday and put everything together, it will run normally.
