Replacing Blown Door Speakers in a Mitsubishi Eclipse

It came with a RF head unit and the new speakers are CT Sounds

This my friends car and he bought it that way. I’m not sure how the previous owner broke them. You don’t really need to pull on them hard to take them off. You should be fine.

The door handles will split in half horizontally revealing the bolt heads. If you google images of the door handles you will see them split apart in 2 halves.

I'd like to add that the door handles are sold on Amazon for around $20. So if they break then it's not an expensive fix. I had a GT back in the day and they broke off too. It's some stuff that this car just breaks or comes off. Other than that the car is pretty good if you maintain it. I have a GS with under 40k miles I plan to keep until it breaks.

You can use 6”x9” speakers or 6.5” with adapters. 6”x9”s are oval shaped and 6.5”s are round.

You are likely to find it anywhere where they sell car audio. It is not car specific; it’s just a 6x9 to 6.5 adapter.

Yeah I could’ve done that. I just prefer 6.5s. Round speakers sound better.
