I've done 2 yacht projects last year... no way near as intensive as what you guys are doing. I must say, you guys are doing a great job with your rebuild and making this video enjoyable to watch. Due to enormous amount of work you guys are doing, isn't it more cost effective to buy a newer yacht instead? That's what I did with my first yacht project. I did minimal work and sold it at huge profit then applied towards another yacht much newer with minimal work needed. Just my thought.
Hey Joseph, this still worked out pretty good if you don't factor in labor costs, as we did everything ourselves but yes if we could recommend to anyone. Work harder and save more money and definitely buy a boat that just needs a lil face-lift (cosmetic changes) versus what we did. It was brutal! 🤣😊

Hi guys, I love the videos and great job on the windows. It's really sleek looking from the outside but aren't you a bit concerned about ventilation? I know you have hatches above your head but you would have gotten some nice air flowing through if you had a few that opened.
Thanks Bertie. No it's not necessary in Catamarans. The Dean Catamarans especially never came with screwed in windows. The VHB tape and the sikaflex are also relatively strong.
just replaced 2 front windows on my prout elite,all the windows are 10mm but the fiberglass deck and window moldings are only 6mm,so 10mm is probably overkill. just be careful to never clean the windows with anything other than soapy water or a pvc cleaner . one of the windows ii replaced must have been cleaned with acetone before i owned it,which caused surface crazing over time..
hello finally got caught up 55+ video's in 4 days, Honestly mixed thoughts and about a million questions, But as i haven't been on the big blue in about 30 yrs ( hopefully that will change soon ) I don't have any criticism, but just 1 question she's looking good on the inside the outside besides the windows she has that shabby chic camo feeling going on, When are you going to paint the deck lol.

Where you’re using the hammer to demonstrate the breaking of the windows. Have you ever thought that the UV is only coated on the one side of the plastic. So the ones that broke is the ones that was put in, inside out. Usually the film with the writing on,is the side that is protected and not the other side.
You’ve filled the rebates and going furface Mount , not good the marine industry does that for cost , it’s better in the rebates , you can change the look of a boat with windows being to big and it’s hard to tell the design ,
