You were able to disconnect the airbag harness while the engine car was on or turned the car off without disconnecting the battery? How did you not deploy the airbag?

I’m getting ready to replace the seat track motor on the passenger side of my 2013 Malibu. I’ve found all the information I need except what the torque is when reinstalling the seat.

Can I pull the airbag fuse instead of disconnecting the battery to disable the airbags?

You see Yellow be very careful ( AIRBAG SYSTEM) disconnect the negative terminal of the battery FIRST

Do I have to unplug the battery to unplug the airbag cable?

I wish I had seen this when mine went out I had to go to the mechanic I could have saved a few hundred bucks
