Thank you SO MUCH for the information in this video! My husband and I finished the job yesterday and our test firing was perfect! I don’t think I would have attempted it without your instructions. Thanks again!❤

I just did a video showing me doing the elements. I was really nervous. Now I need to check my thermocouples. Thanks for showing this

This did EXACTLY what you wanted it to do for me!! For a very long time I thought you had to have someone do all of this. Seeing you do it is awesome. Thank you always fir everything. Definitely saved this to watch later.

Thanks for posting this video. My elements have finally given out after 20 years. I lost track of the number of firings they've done. I was up to 50 cone 6 glaze firings 10 years ago. I probably have averaged a dozen glaze firings a year in the past 10 years. I definitely got my money's worth with these elements.

Really appreciate your explanations and video. I have replaced the thermocouple but not yet the elements, the the thought was giving me a bit of stress. I can do this!!!

I was intimidated at first as well but as I said, there is lots of support from vendors and the pottery community! Good luck!

Ann, that was very helpful! I’m impressed with the tape on the “kiln stilt trick”. Wise woman

Thanks Ann! Good timing and really well presented in a very simple way to understand how easy it can be. Just came in from checking my 2nd hand Euclid and the thermocouple has started to toast. I have done 43 glaze ^5/6 firings and I got replacement elements and thermocouple to be on standby a while ago. Hoping to get many more firings before I have to replace the elements. That phone is the handiest tool. Cheers...Freddie

Hi Ann, Thank you for this video. It was so very helpful, as I'm pretty sure that my kiln elements need to be replaced. My firings take longer than they're meant to now. Hopefully, now I won't be so nervous about doing it myself.

We have this same kiln but with the quad elements. So far, it's had over 150 (cone 04, 5 and 6) firings on the original elements and thermocouples. The elements are starting to sag real good though and it's taking over 7 hours for a fast glaze fire. I think I'm going to squeeze in a few more bisque fires before I change everything out!

Good job Ann! By the way, you cut the wires using a sheet metal shear. Wire cutters are different and provide more leverage and are easier on the hands. The needle nose pliers can cut wires also, but the gauge of the elements is a bit large in this instance. I really appreciate your videos, they are so well made and instructive. You have a gift.

Thanks John...yeah, the wire cutters I had could not snip the element ends...I brought a knife to a gun fight so I had to up my weaponry 😀
