The difference in the two different parts are that the newer models do not have that wide trim around the back window and the older ones do. The the reason for the difference in length and stud placement. Amazon has a great illustration of the difference so that you do not buy the wrong part. There is also a left and right side difference. $26 each on Amazon.
Much thanks! I also had an issue locating the correct part and wished I would have seen this first. In any case, what I did to not lose the nut (because I am paranoid)... is once I got it loose.. I crabbed my extension manget and removed it the rest of the way.. it took longer.. but I ain't tryna lose that joker.
Thank you for this video. I need to replace the right trim, but installation instructions did not come with the product. At least now I know the interior panels will need to come out.
My best friend had a truck identical to yours. Literally. Everything. It wasn't red tho. It was green. Two tone tan. It was a 99 lariat edition. He had 6 inch lift with 36 15.50 r16 . Bigger turbo. Bigger injectors. Chipped, etc I loved that truck. It was so big but surprisingly it drove really good. It didn't have any play in the steering at all. But other than your truck I've never seen another one like my friends until I saw yours. I think a lifted long bed extended cab f250 with big wide tires looks the beat in my opinion. I'll be watching your videos haha
Thanks for making this video. My Ford service department told me I'd have to remove the rear window to replace the molding. My 2000 F250 Superduty Crewcab. The sites that I've looked at show both parts will fit. I bought the YC3Z2551728PTM and it didn't fit. Looks like I'll be ordering the other one. I check back when I get it.
@@alwaysup2late I would have done the same. It can be time consuming to paint match the right way. find the color that is actually close the the truck and then get a 2 part clear. I kinda enjoy some of it but it can be a lot.
Oh yea, totally agree it looks great when it's done right. Most likely will try some out on the mirrors and trim pieces, have a transmission cooler up next then more fun stuff haha
@@alwaysup2late exactly 2008 and up in America, 99-07 body style continued on in other countries (south america) until around 2019. South america superduty has a 2.8L inline 4 turbo diesel rated around 150hp
