Great video. Short and to the point. I have this exact refrigerator and the freezer is not freezing. Called a repairman and he told me that it's the compressor. This repair is a total of $600.00. I contacted Samsung and the part is under warranty. Wish you were close to Dallas.
Looks like at least the second time the compressor is being replaced. Factory compressors don't have charging valves on the compressor low side stub and on the filter drier. I still have a 30+ year old Amana refrigerator with the original compressor, still running. Looks like hell but the food stays cold and the freezer side keeps food frozen solid. I just brush out the condenser coil for maintenance and have only replaced the condenser fan for repair.
This must be a warranty repair. Most people would toss the fridge and buy a new one. I see beautiful expensive appliances collecting at the local recycle center/landfill transfer station, but they have warning signs all over saying not to take the junked appliances. Such a shame as most could be easily fixed and last decades more.
Yeah. We just found out are Compressor needs to be replaced $1,500. Screw Samsung. Never again. I will call the company and see if the warranty will cover it. The service tech said they cover it for 10 years. We will see!
Toss this away ?? its a freaking almost $4000 fridge and complete crap, i have my condenser inside the fridge leaking already, so luckily im a handy man, im about to re soldier all that

Fairly good, however he kind of glossed over the important step of pulling a strong vacuum--how many inches of vacuum and for how long??, also didn't talk about issues regarding oil… Does oil need to be added with the Freon charge? Does the compressor come with all the oil that it needs?
Would this be the same process for the Samsung 4 door flex family hub? It has the touch screen. I have one that is missing the compressor I think a floor model and that’s what the person said I needed for it. I’ve purchased the compressor and it looks just like this one in your video. Only problem is getting someone that wants to do it

So do ypu not need to add refrigerant through the high side I've done 6 of these so far and have been addi g through high side for 2.5 ounces then the rest on the low?
Having the same issue here and had to call them multiple times in order to see whether my unit is still under that 10years warranty or not, but the thing is, that 10years only for digital inverter compressor. I have exact the same model on the video. Is it digital inverter compressor?
