Great informative video... one thing though, I removed the plastic inner guard, took five minutes, and it made the job so much easier because you can see all the clips etc....

Not that simple the first time you try it. Don't ask me how I know

@@DIRAVIdude I bet not ...shit me, doing that outside your house thinking "how much did the man at the garage want me to pay him to do this?" Trying to get stuff apart that's been underneath a car for a few years.

@@danielmarshall4587 I'll be doing it again in a couple weeks. Hope it goes smoother than the last time!

My rears were stuck in place (top fixing) at the rear. You'll need a small pry bar and some penetrating fluid to soak the top moulding before prying it out.

Do you need to support the axes while changing the air bags when the car is lifted?

This is going to be a challenge seeing as mine is on the bump stops and I don't have a lift. I'm guessing 3 hours and a lot of swearing to look forward to lol.

Is this the same procedure for the Classic? No mention of the height sensors?

Hello I have range rover l322 2005 And I have a complicated problem with the car. The problem is coming and going. There is a problem, the signal lamps work, but on the watch panel no indication is seen. In addition it happens there is no indication of high light, even though it works. Also all the data on the screen does not work. I'm helpless. And need help

how much will you charge to fix? I have been offered a RR P38 for 600 quid, is it worth buying everything else seems ok except there is an air block in the water system, sound bad?
@RimmerBrosTV

We only sell parts I'm afraid. The P38 could be ok, or could have slipped liners. Very bad if it's the liners.

I had an air block in mine a few years ago, it was my diesel one after a new water pump. It was just an air block, once I had cleared it, it was fine. Had a 4.6HSE and a 2.5DT from 2008 until 2016, lots of frights with Google searches pointing to repair costs equalling the value of a small house over those eight years. What did I buy in the end? About twelve airsprings, one steering box lower seal, 46 brake pads, twelve tyres, 16 brake disks, 2 radiators, two water pumps (a pump with a metal impeller and a genuine pump to put the impeller on), one engine oil cooler, one transmission oil cooler, two front propshafts, one draglink, twenty bushes, two antiroll bar links, two fuel pumps, four oil filters and four air filters (I know, should've been at least 16), grease, vaseline plus a few pints of preventative K Seal. That's it for sixteen Range Rover years of driving (two Range Rovers for 8 years). They were the cheapest cars I ever had and regret selling them.

On the rear air bag, the lining looks like it has been cut giving you access to the r-clip and compression fitting. did you do that so you didnt have to remove the entire liner or is the p38 normally like that with an access slot in the liner?
@RimmerBrosTV
@RimmerBrosTV 5 лет назад
Hi Luke, no modifications were made whatsoever. The items were fitted as standard.
@DavidCAdams

That is not what my 2002 USA P38 looks like. I had to remove the lining on the drivers side to get access. In the video it looks like maybe a two-part lining. Or someone cut it.
