I'm curious why you didn't replace the diode in the bias supply? I think Fender used 1N4002 originally. I was advised on an amp tech forum to upgrade to 1N4007 when servicing old Fender amps. I'm glad for you that this amp wasn't hacked up like the last one. Someone did some weird things to my 1977 Deluxe Reverb, which I think I have now gotten back to stock.
