Quick question. Is it possible to test the motor by connecting the line and neutral wires directly to the red and white wires on the motor, thus bypassing the phase and control plate? I have a dead machine and not sure what to buy?

Hello, I changed the control plate because the speed was extremely high on 2 but now the kitchen aid doesn't turn on anymore. I thought maybe the new speed control plate had a problem so I tried again with the old one and same problem. It's frustratif because I can't test the new one because of this new problem. I'm sure all is well connected, I double-checked the wire.. any ideas ? thanks !

Hi, did you remove the motor brushes at all? If so, please check out out video on reinstalling them properly - 95% of the time this is the issue. If that is not the case, please contact us by email (customerhelp@kaparts.co.uk) with a short video showing how the parts at the rear of the machine move when you slowly move it from off to full power. We will try to help you work it out.

Hi, I just got an identical mixer that has a wear problem on it. Now, there is one part broken but for the life of me cannot fathom what it does as it doesn't appear to do anything as it isn't connected to anything. It is the little black thing on the left at 0:32seconds. I know it has been a while since this was shot but wondered if you can help me? The mixer lifts when working, now there should be something to stop it and there is a little wear at the rear of the latch which if I epoxy'd in a small piece of metal it would remove the wear problem and probably solve it as I cannot find replacement little black things(number 20 on the parts list shown in breakdown of parts) anywhere. I have recovered the broken parts and could Tensol them together probably and reuse it but it seems so flimsy to stop the mixer body from moving and was considering using a small screw bent to shape to do the job. Can you help?

Hello can I ask something my mixer doesn't work the speed 1-2-4 it start from six is this the control plate? Or something else? Thanks in advance

Please help me! my new kitchenaid mixer making noise on low speed after the first using. I'm sure that it's from control plate. What it can be?

Hi, if the mixer is new we would recommend you contact KitchenAid in your country as it may be covered under warranty. If you would like us to try and identify the noise can you please post a video to help us hear the noise?
