That's odd looking at it you'd swear that one was shorter than the other...but as you said, optical illusion. Surprising that the denix is twice the weight considering the original has all the gubbins inside.....when you hold them up together it's good to be able to see the differences. I can understand why a nice condition magazine would be ££££'s but it that price is the same as some alternative deac weapon!!... I wonder why they make them to only go in their weapons?....is every denix like that?, do I recall you doing a video where a denix mag went into a deac???....might be manufacturing reasons or legal?....or just because that's the way it is?🙂
A bit like the actual gun, theres more weight in the denix than the original stg,an original stg has no quality about it on the same level as say an mp40....as for denix parts.....the denix smle mag is interchangeable with a real smle and number 4 mag so real gun will take a denix and denix will take real mag....the denix thompson drum mag fits surprisingly well in a real m1928 thompson smg,but nope, denix stg 44 and mp40 mags do not fit the real weapons.
@@historicmilitaria1944 bloody hell I would be devastated, poor fella he's very passionate about collecting etc...I was really miffed when a dump truck drove over my topl box 30 years ago on a water plant...my level, rulers , dividers, calculator, engineers squares etc etc....all flattened and bent , I think the only things that survived was my hammer ,chisel and g clamp....mind you the firm responsibile bought me all new kit...still it pissed me off....I can't imagine when an irreplaceable piece of kit gets broken .....even when I broke the glass on the 'Chirbury' certificate I was bloody gutted...🤔
