Elon would never say that. He’s not so impractical that he would intend to send the entire population of earth to colonize Mars. There would be no point. It’s not his end game. It’s not a habitable planet.
If you look at elons twitter and response comments it's clear that he leans more towards trump and hates covid lockdowns, cancel culture, Facebook, thinks gates and bezos are idiots, etc. He just can't outright say it because it's bad for business but once he has enough capital to leave earth I think he's gonna give a big FU to the billionaire tyrants and corrupt politicians.

I love how people (including musk) speak about it being impossible to shoot send someone into space without them being able to make it back. And it never gets brought up in the same conversation that we supposedly have gone to the moon.

Virgile Glatz that is the problem , people ask elon about politics and trump not about science and the future which is the thing he is more interested in Most interviewers don’t understand him enough or don’t ask the correct questions , “everyday astronaut” interview with elon musk was actually the best interview elon has ever been in , it feels so authentic and real
Albara when you said that most interviewers don’t understand Elon, I immediately thought of the interview with Elon and the every day astronaut in front of starship last year and watching Elon geek out about a lot of more technical questions like why ditch space alloy and opt for steel, why not an Aerospike engine, etc.., it was interesting to watch Elon light up and even keep talking after being de-miced until grimes literally grabbed Elon to leave. Those are the kind of interviews I can’t get enough of.
