Such a good channel and in my opinion underrated for its superb content. This dude puts it straight with no bs. Only one complaint though, well maybe two, more frequent episodes needed and they could do with a bit more time per. Thanks a bunch for mt09 updates.

I also like that screen. I did that trick with my old B-King. Really messed the mudguard up. Sold the bike like that, though, ages later. The BMW at the end looks brilliant.

Unfortunately I have never been a fan of Bridgestones for the same reasons you mention. Stick Michelin R5 on , night and day , but I guess you know that, great vlog enjoyed it 😉👍

Bridgestone recommends 30 PSI front and 26 PSI rear for track day applications. For spirited twisty use, try increasing by 4-6 PSI to see if you enjoy it more.

My OEM S22 rear only lasted 2500 miles and it squared off before that. Seems unavoidable as the torque seems to chew tyres pretty quick, and the power tends to go down when the bike is mostly upright. Put Road 6's on now and it felt like a new bike, turns in so much easier. Didn't have any issues with grip on either tyre, although I suspect I don't explore the limit as much as Mat.

I put an aluminum windscreen on mine that seems seamless with it and I too ride with my tires with less pressure, but I find I always do that and it actually wears correctly that way while on some of my other bikes it didn't. About to go on a 12 hour ride along mountaina on my 2021 mt09 in 2 days, fun stuff

The S22 is hard carcass tire, combined with rough suspension is probably not an ideal combo. I've ran S22's on now 3 different bikes (including track time) and it's a killer tire, but not the pick if you want some plush-ness. The grip is there and leaving the oem S22's on my 2022 MT09 SP.

I've done the same thing with my disk lock at least two dozen times. My fender is cracked, but hasn't gotten worse so I've put off replacing it.

My F900R came with Bridgestone S21's stock and I was so satisfied, I went for S22's without a second thought when the 21's were spent. Unfortunately, I don't feel the same confidence on the 22's, even though they're supposed to be only marginally tweaked. I don't know how to explain it, but I also can't recommend the S22's.

As a former 2nd gen MT-09 owner, I still find the new version hilariously shoddily designed and built for a long list of reasons... Not mentioning the newest paint schemes...Yeah, I test rode the new bike a couple times before buying the 701 SM instead. Zero regrets.

Try M9RR’s track cable road tyres quick warm up , had no problems in the damp or wet , though they only last about 8,000 km’s and the front almost wears out as quick through that could be GSXR750 thing.

I bet the tire issue is suspension related. My Tracer 9gt which has better suspension tolerates less sporty tires than the S22 which are rated as track day tires ...I loved the sport touring T32s that came on it but they were GONE at 2500miles I wish you would upgrade the suspension as I am thinking of buying an MT09 (in addition to the Tracer) I cant decide between standard or SP and taking the money saved if I buy standard to upgrade suspension custom to me

Put a rubber band or bungey cord on your front brake lever to remind you the disc lock is on

i have the SP model and I put 3000 miles on the oem S22. Good tire but that soft carcass does not provide enough feedback for my liking. Switched to the Rosso corsa 2. Game changer for me with how the bike feels and handles.

Given how much you gushed over the RNine a few months back, I would have guessed the beamer as your new bike, and not the MT 09...

if you use max preload on the shock you will loose tons of grip on the rear tire, no matter the kind of bike you ride: don't blame the tire... And lowering tire pressure far away from the recommended will kill the tire soon. Plus, MT09 has little static sag on the rear and with high shock preload you surely get "zero" sag, so every bump on the road will kick your @ss. You could add only 1 notch of preload and set 75% closed rebound damping on the shock and you should accept the "bouncing feeling" that stock front and rear suspensions can offer ... then you could try slightly closing hydraulics in the front (but you'll find them unresponsive, like the oem use to feel...). You're too fast for the oem suspensions so get new shock AND cartridges.

Done the very same disc lock crunch I took a chunk out of my GS fender, stuck it with super glue

Which Tires are your go to tires? and why? at least for Road use anyway

I also did this to my front fender of my trident 660 was so annoyed im sure plenty people do it guess why have the leash on some disk locks for reminder unfortunately mine didn't urs to I guess.

Haven't read all comments so sorry if it already been suggested, but i have yellow spiral cord thingies between disc lock and clutch lever. That'll take pretty advanced Altzheimers to miss that the li'l disck lock is on. : )

Yep messed up the front fender on my Tracer 900 the same way. Still patiently waiting on the Tracer 9 I ordered in februari, is this a problem all over europe these days? I'm in the Netherlands....

Doesn't it void the warranty if you do your own servicing?

I wonder of the OEM S22s are the same as if you went and bought your own. The ones I bought are great. My original OEM S20s felt like crap compared to the retail S21s and S22s.

Note you are supoosed to rebalance the throttle bottles at 1km service too which you failed to menion....just saying. BTW I was hoping you had upgraded the suspension that is why I looked for another video....sad. I might have subscribed oh well
