Nako has improved, but now Wonyoung said that she’s scared that her voice might be too loud, eventually Nako is starting to hate herself, Wonyoung is trying her best to cheer her up always, and people think that Wonyounf and Nako hate each other, but still we need Nako to love herself!
Miyu strained her voice in ‘We Together’ I believe. Maybe not!! But the note was hard for her to belt, so she had I think Yujin and Haeyoon help with back vocals? Not sure who else though..
Anneloes Barth alto isn’t a voice type, and miyu is most definitely NOT a contralto (triggered voice student here lol) she’s a mezzo soprano at the lowest
Nasality is not a "style" y'all lol it's literally the symbol of bad technique and placement. You can still sound cute without being nasal, look at Twice or April
It's not necessarily bad technique. I can see if they are using it WAY excessively but nasality helps getting higher notes. But it's often thought of as completely bad cuz most times its not pleasant to hear
@@soobdoob say bts jin for example. over the years he has found a way to make his nasality an advantage in singing and now he sounds way better than his debut days where his nasal voice was unpleasant to hear live
Yes, it's a style, especially in Japan. It's a choice for many of them. It's actually known as cute and if you watched the season, the couches made comments on it as a cultural difference to sing with half air or more, over a full voice. As well a nasal voice is highly valued in Korea for rapping, such as soyeon from season 1 (currently in g-idle), specifically in the Korean language, it emphasizes specific tones in the language making it easier to pick up the words. JYP also values the half air nasal voices, and has been noted a lot in for example k pop star (the competition show).
nasal voice is normal in japanese, is their accent, and the concept of them is cheerful and funny, sometimes misterious, so.... in think more than mistakes, is an style of singing, but if they wanna be korean idols, they have to do it
@@ccsbm208 Um hi I'm from japan & been here all my life... Not true... nasal isn't am accent here and we don't use it on purpose soooo.... Please correct yourself before commenting things like this
@@camibambi7895 i don’t think you understand what I meant. I wasn’t talking about this from a cultural point of view but from a grammatical point of view. I wasn’t saying if Japanese people have nasally voices or not. I was saying that you can’t have a “nasal” accent since by definition an accent is all about how you pronounce words whereas as a nasally voice is about how the voice sounds to the ear and the flow of air whilst speaking. So accent isn’t the right word to use linguistically speaking. I wasn’t trying to say anything about Japanese.
Your voice naturally gets nasally as you go higher in your range because it’s easier to sing with the sound coming from your nose in high notes compared to low ones. Many of the J trainees use falsetto instead of belting which makes them sound more nasally in higher range...
I love how you said Sakura isn’t stable but she said her whole audition song completely while dancing and no backing track. She was also praised for being stable.... She does have technique I mean the moment you sing you use technique. She doesn’t have bad technique it’s just not amazing.
sitinur fatihah personally I find her voice very squeaky and borderline unbearable in some parts even though her range is very good for a Japanese trainee also her voice wins in the cuteness position:D
My top 1. Takeuchi Miyu 2. Yabuki Nako 3. Miyazaki Miho 4. Shiroma Miru 5. Sato Minami 6. Honda Hitomi 7. Takahashi Juri 8. El resto (no me importa el orden)
I think the problem with the Japanese contestants is that they were all from the 48 line, and they have huge amounts of members. I feel like if the trainees for Japan were pulled as individuals they would’ve had a better advantage. If you take a look at smaller idol groups such as BiSH,Watsuta, Happiness, etc. They have actually really good vocalists, rappers and even dancers. I also notice that they happen to stray away from the all members singing and actually give the members individual lines. I think they should’ve picked trainees for Japan like they did for NiziU in which they were either independent or from a company.
the cameraman who pretended Miyu didn't exist on that final performance need to get fired. why would you take random shot of the stage when the singer is hitting a highnote in grand finale of big survival show?!!!
things that do not matter: tone (subjective and unnatural to change your tone, you should sing how you want to), stability (why would the ability to sing while dancing ever matter to vocalists, it’s not like vocal coaches teach you how to sing while dancing), and pronunciation (that one is obvious), edit: also high notes don’t matter cos you can just have a naturally deeper voice, doesnt make you a worse vocalist
u j u n g a r i Sorry, I am no longer taking in requests since I have already received too many. I did make the video on my old channel(my first video), but it got too popular(500k views) so it got copyrighted. I tried to reupload last week but it got copyrighted after a couple of seconds.
Depends, because being nasal is really common since it's where people (specially untrained singers) tend to place their voices when they sing, nasality can also limit a singer a lot.
you can critique their style :/ it’s their opinion that’s the whole point of the video. they’re not inherently saying “this person is terrible bc they’re nasally” is how they perceive the way that person sings
Miyu's vocals really caught my attention since her audition on PD48, and Nako's vocals since Love Whisper. Sadly Miyu got robbed. I badly wanted her to debut tho :((
Miho: *sings nasal letters like "n"and "m" in the extract* Curry: she is nasal. It's all about balance, there are some nasal sounds you can't avoid... Usually when someone add to much nasality in their note they tend to be flat and unstable. Miho did have some nasal issues but it moslty happened when she had to reach high notes that she was scared of. I don't agree entirely with you but your videos are entertaining so I might subcribed. ☺
Please make: Produce 48 best dancers(top 10) Produce 48 best vocalists(top 10) Produce 48 best rappers(top 10) Produce 48 best visuals(top 10) (In a ranking)
@@jgmjhs_martinezyana8567 She barely sang during that performance, actually I'm not she even did. You can't really rank someone if they sang only one line.
im not trying to be rude, but you said most of them are nasal and squeaky. im sorry, but this is how most of the japanese industry works and even if they sing nasally, theyre amazing
Mmm just cuz it works like that doesn't means it's good?? Like what sense does that have? An idol from Japan literally stopped being one after straining her voice and almost destroying her voice for signing nasaly. Tell me now, do you think THAT'S AMAZING!
If you are going to rank them based on their Korean prononciation, I hope you would (or have already ?) also rank Korean trainees based on their Japanese prononciation ....
i feel like i’m the only who doesn’t like Miyu’s voice... i was vocally trainer for only a year or so, so i know i cant say much that and i’m from America so vocal training is way different over here than in Asia, but Miyu’s voice is extremely thick that sometimes her pronunciation isn’t very well and you can’t hear which vowels or consonants she’s trying to say at times if her voice wasn’t mainly a chest voice (more so of a throat voice, where it’s in the back of your throat) then her singing would be absolutely amazing! her range is well also
What does Korean pronunciation have to with vocals? It can be taught and I don't know why trainees who are working so incredibly hard to reach a higher expectation should be expected to also speak good korean
I Wish Shitao Miu Debut She Had A Good Voice Refreshing,Calming And Sad Vocal Projection:7.5 Technique:8 Tone:9.5 Stability:8 I Love Her Plz Support Shitao Miu
You are ranking their voices or their pronunciation? Like the fuck. Also being nasal doesn't mean being a bad singer. Jessica jung has a beautiful tone and she is nasal
I think that you should have specified that you judge them based on korean criterias (nasal voice, good/bad korean pronounciation). Otherwise, they can be very good singers but you classified them low because of bad korean pronounciation and nasal voice.
Let's be honest, Miyu shouldn't have been the lead for the final song. She couldn't hit the note at all. They had to mix in vocals of stronger singers to make the note good. Don't get me wrong, I was a Miyu supporter, but that decision made me stop. The main vocal really should have been yuri, haeyoon, miho, or chaeyeon.
Something i noticed that having a nasal sound can be countered by having power behind your vocals or using that nasal tone to your advantage with other techniques. Otherwise it just sounds terrible
