Talk about the plant to have! This one has it all, size, elegance, drama, beauty, and desire to work. The peace lily is one plant that everyone has either had do to a family member/loved one, or goes to a doctors, school, restaurant or chapel with one there. There is a good reason why these are an indoor plant that potentially every human has seen and knows where one is. They are exceptionally easy to care for, they have the potential to live a good while and will take care of you and your family too. Check out the famous NASA experiment that said the peace lily is phenomenal at removing toxins from the air in your home! Now, the giant peace lily is all these great things plus its amazing ability to command the spot light in any room/décor that he is placed in! I love that contrast of color with the flowers and leaves! Plant Prudently guys!

I just got into houseplants this past year. Among those I started with was a dwarf peace lily from Lowes. That was my favorite plant, because it tells me when it needs water. I use a grow light and now it has the white blooms! Then I learned about the Sensation being the largest & I found one at my local plant shop. Peace lilies and snake plants are my favorite plants. I do keep them in the bathroom. I am going to try the distilled water & stop fertilizing. Thanks! I always enjoy your videos.

That's cool! I'm glad you were able to find one of the sensation varieties, they're spectacular! Let me know how the distilled water goes. Some ppl will try and tell you not to use distilled water because it doesn't have any important additives or nutrients in the water. Though with plants especially sensitive ones like a peace lily that can be a good thing. Besides additives are what fertilizers are for! Lol. Keep me posted and let me know how he does! Plant Prudently! 🌲

The funny thing is.. until I got into house plants and I still Mark myself as a beginner because I have in advance beyond the easier plants that there are to keep. But yeah I used to actually think the reason why plants died was because you didn't take care of them LOL. So plants actually having a lifespan makes me feel a little bit better about my life LOL. I guess when you think about it being a living thing just like any other living thing it does have a lifespan.. unless it's a Christmas cactus or Thanksgiving cactus I feel like those are like the turtles houseplants. Thank you so much for your information video! My peace lily is tiny. Your giant one is gorgeous

I bought a sensation around the same size as yours. I brought it home and gave it kinda bright light 3000-4000lux from grow lights for around 14 hours a day. And it started growing from 3 more different places, at the soil line. The two leaves that came out with the brighter light were deformed at the bottom, but now it's growing x4. I would like to split it into 4 plants, but the new growth is inside of the base, two are in between leaves.

my large Peace Lily leaves looks different than yours, mine is very shiny very dark green leave and I do water with tap water, the leaves are not brown at all on the end of leaves.

Maybe you can help me with a problem I’ve been having with my sensation. For some reason when a new leaf is coming in, one dies. This has been the norm for my plant. It was about the size of yours when I got it. That was 1 year ago. It’s a little larger now, and it’s in an 8inch pot. I was thinking maybe I need to replant it in a larger pot. Maybe when a new leaf grows, one dies to make room. At least the the only logical reason I’ve come up with. What do you think?

Hey there! I just got my first peace lily yesterday. It’s quite large. Should I repot immediately from the nursery pot? Or let it stick around in there for a little.

I would let him chill in there until next spring. Repotting now when your plant is about to enter its dormancy period will just confuse him. Right now they get certain ques from mother nature that it's time to slow down and get ready for a different typically harsher period ahead. If you're in North America like I am this means cold, frost, heavy winds, some snow, and of course shorter days. Now these guys hail from the tropics so they don't have to worry or even prepare for that, their dormancy period usually means some cooler temps and periods of prolonged droughts, and some even get more rain during this time. Anyway, if you repot now the influx of nutrients in the new soil you'll use will signal to him that it's time to wake up instead of going to bed. Another reason you should wait is that introducing a plant into new environments with different temperatures, light cycles, water schedules, etc. often stresses them out, and then repotting adds more stress to the mix and could potentially be fatal if you don't know entirely what you are doing. However, if you notice that your plant feels like he's about to bust out of his pot or that there doesn't seem to be enough soil in the container, or if after weeks in his new home he starts to look sick for no particular reason then you may have to repot sooner rather than later. If any of these ever arise please email me and I'll tell you exactly what to do and how to do it! Ytgreenalchemist@gmail.com I hope this wasn't too much for ya! Lol.

If the conditions in your house are stable, warm, humid and bright. The plant has no idea it's winter.
