AKA "Lenny is Trailer Trash"! www.fuzzyfoliage.com Love the look of African violet trailers but have no idea how to shape them up? Lenny explains how he does it here.
Great info. Great demonstration. It's really hard to find informative videos specifically on Trailing African Violets. This was the most useful one I've come across yet so yes Lenny, you should definitely do more videos.
I love African violets and do very well having them AND I can also start new plants from leaves. One thing I didn't know was there are trailing violets. Love this ino.
I LOVED this video!! I have watched quite a few about the same topic after receiving a trailer from a friend. I finally understand the terms and for a cosmic reason, I totally get it and know what o do. THANKS so much and I'll be heading to the wicking video after subscribing. Boom! Ya both rock. 💣🔥💫
This is a really nice video!! I appreciate it very much because I realize I have a trailer AV and I was wondering what the heck to do with it. My only request would be to try to use a tripod bc I was getting dizzy ;-P
The one that broke off - do you try to root it & start a new plant or is it trash? I have a trailer & a piece of it broke off - didn’t know how to try to save it
I have a trailer in a small pot because it was a new plant when I got it. Can you give me any guidance about the size pot to repot it in? I am seeing that I need to repot it into a wider, shallow pot instead of the "Dandy" pot it's in now.
I have three trailer violets called Falling Snow. I have them in a pretty small pots but they always just have one plant. What am I doing wrong? How do I get more trailer plants to grow from it or is my pots too small?
Pro tip: put multiple crowns in one pot until your plants have matured into multi-crowners. If there's no space, take a bigger pot. When you get suckers--eventually, but of course time is long for one who waits--don't remove them, just let them grow and that plant will be multi-crowned. If you're feeling impatient for suckers, you can chop the growing end off a mature trailer's crown. Take care and research a bit before chopping, it is a stressful procedure.
