Great video! I have two Begonia Maculatas, and have been bottom watering them in a tray of LECA for nearly a year. I add water to the LECA tray they sit in whenever it goes dry, and have never watered from the top. Both plants are thriving!

Oof, once you saw that root ball I think you should’ve reconsidered and put it back in the same pot with a chunkier mix. I’m thinking of reporting mine since it’s getting thirstier a lot faster. So I’ll take a peek at the root system it might just need an inch bigger. I’ll see if you have an update on this plant since this was 2 years ago. Love watching your videos.

How can you know when it needs to be repotted? Mine is growing like crazy right now. It’s about two ft tall with several main stems and in a 6 in grow pot.

You can decide to repot any plant when its outgrowing its container. Some plants like to be root bound while others like their roots to have a bit more space. For these plants you can up the size when the plant is much larger than the container. I would recommend using terracotta and a container with drainage.

I have a question: my plant is smaller and stands tall that it bends down, how can I help it to stand tall without hurting the stem? Or should I let it bend naturally?
