Here is a May 2023 retake of one of the touch free bays, at the Pro Clean Auto Wash (formerly Primrose) in Chelmsford MA! I was considering going to the Westford site, but came here instead as i haven’t gotten a top wash retake of one of the touch free bays here in a while.
Anyways, this wash is located right off of the highway, and is one of the busiest car washes in the area, with the other being the Alltown in Lowell, which is not that far from this one. This was formerly known as a Primrose Car Wash location, and it was even featured on an episode of a TV show once. I can’t seem to find it though…
Primrose was rebranded to Pro Clean at some point, and they started to install soft touch washes at some of their locations, as they used to be all touch free. This location was the first site to get one. All 3 bays here used to have PDQ LaserWash 4000s in them. In 2010 I believe, the first 4000 was severely damaged in a accident, involving a van with roof racks with a ladder on it. The machine was beyond repair, so it was installed with Massachusetts’s possible first LaserWash 360!
The third bay, in mid-2017, was replaced with a ProTouch Tandem. At first, I thought it was going to be a ProTouch icon, but it was a Tandem. It opened up a few months later, and was Pro Clean’s first soft touch machine they installed. Because of this, the only remaining 4000 here was in the second bay. However, that was replaced with a 360, which came from the Westford location, when they got a Tandem SurfLine.
Now, ProClean Auto Wash only has a few locations left that still have LaserWash 4000s. One of them being the Westborough location. Also, Pro Clean has one location with G5 machines. They used to have a location in Londonderry NH that also had G5 machines, but it was sold to Circle T and they were replaced with Mark VII ChoiceWash XT machines.

Comments: the wash did a great job! Got all the dust, pollen and dirty off of my dad’s truck. Besides the dryers being mediocre, the wash still did a great job and I highly recommend it!
