Reprogramming of audi key after car went into safe mode due to changing of key Fob casing and battery, with the unique position of having only one key.
Press the unlock button on your key fob and hold it. While you hold the unlock button, insert the key and move to ignition position II. Continue to hold the unlock button pressed for three seconds and then remove. Your keyfob should be programed now.
That's amazing! I've spent hours trying to open a 2006 broken key fob to switch out the electronics to a new fob to surprise my man who works nights and wants the remote for safety and convenience. It looks so easy on videos:( So expensive to get at dealer. I even ordered an iPhone tool kit from Amazon tonight..time to give it a rest!! Thanks for posting this. It will be fun to see if it works for me:)
Hi I have same problem with my key on 2010 audi a3 after I replace the case my car went to SAFE mode after trying repogramming follow your procedures the problem persist and SAFE legend still there. Please Help!!
so you can program any immobilizer chip as long as the key is cut the same? meaning if you were to put a battery on your original fob it would still work?
I have a 2004 Audi a4 1.8t now i dont know if my car is in safe mode or not but randomly I went to start the car and it didnt wanna crank over like the motor is locked up but it's not help please
My car has tripped it's immobilizer cause I changed the damn fob shell. Now I can't start it. And none of any of these work, not the hold unlock or lock while turning key then turning off, did the put in outer lock and hold unlock and hold lock, ive been trying for days like c'mon man I just want my fricken car back
On your old key fob you have to pull that little piece of transmitter out of your key fob it's up by the key put it in your new key fob and your car should start
Leave the car unlocked, change batterie, turn in the car, hold the unlocked button for a few seconds, turn of the car, test the key so it works! And your done.
Yes pretty much what I did! Battery off 30 minutes, key in, turn on ignition, press lock unlock (I did this about three times cos I was bored waiting) while leaving the key in for 10 to 15 seconds....thanks, make a video 😂
@@32dank-tass71 No I ended up having to have a coder come out to my house and reprogram my key to the car with his laptop because nothing was working for me.
