You are right to be concerned. The Chameleon Kit can be made to work for very small chameleons and if you know the exact couple of inches where the UVB is effective. But if the chameleon was big enough to be sold to a new home then it is likely too big to thrive in the Chameleon Kit. So, even without knowing more about your situation I have 95% confidence you will need to change things out. It is a pattern we see all the time, unfortunately. While you are at the website, go to the menu option that says “Basics” and review the chameleon husbandry. Water bowls are not a reliable hydration method and it would be a good idea to go towards a more natural hydration strategy. Nighttime drops can be implemented using portable or wall mount A/C units. Unfortunately, there really isn’t another good solution.

Or just open the window a bit if it is cooler outside. But you have to lower the room temperature. It isn’t something that can be done for just the cage - at least with current technology.

Arcadia, Zoomed, and Leap are companies that offer good UVB lights.

You shouldn’t have to make them eat so something else is going wrong. This may need a vet visit
