People fail to realize that if they put the money they make back into their snakes, the money they would have spent out of pocket is now in their pocket. It’s a nice feeling when your business pays its own bills during the year

Great stuff as usual. Excited about the accounting, LLC, and tax video. Thats like the last big hurdle in my research. Im about three weeks away from investing about $35,000 in some multi- recessive projects and jumping on the Monarch and Monsoon train as well. I got a meeting with a CPA next weekend to go over my options so it will be good to have a better idea going in. Thanks for all that you do man!

Great video Matt. I am not breeding snakes yet still wet behind the ears with snake breeding but I do exactly as you say with our egg business. All money made from eggs goes in there chicken business envelope and it is only used for feed and bedding. This year we have 40 new baby hens (pullets) that was all paid for with egg money ago it is sustaining itself nicely. But you're right it's the chickens money in my case. Again great way to describe this topic.

Awesome video. Also important to remember to track the equity, if you're mentally struggling with putting that money back into the business. Kind of like buying a house, that money isn't just "gone forever," and if you really wanted to liquidate, you could. In my experience, remembering that you still "have" the money in equity, it's just not liquid, helps stave off those feelings of panic when you think "I've spent too much!" No, you haven't. Not as long as, like these videos have said, you are managing it as its own entity and not choosing between your bills and your animals.

So, I have three females who will likely drop clutches within the next month or so. This is my first actual production of new animals. Is there a place that you go to collect data to help decide how much your new animals should be worth? Up to this point I've always considered the cost that I paid for an animal if I considered reselling it but since I paid 0 for these new ones how do I know whether I'm coming in above or below the market?

Where would you say most of your revenue comes from? Online sales or expos? I live up here in Maine and making it to expos probably isn't going to happen until this really takes off... I was hoping to creat a brand and then try and survive from online sales only. ..... All the while trying to manage my construction business 😆

I HAVE 11 SO FAR, AND STILL BUYING, I'M DOING THIS BECAUSE I LOVE SNAKES AND I'M A SINGLE MOM THAT'S DISABLED, AND CAN'T RAISE MY BOYS AND MY BABIES OFF OF THE LITTLE DISABILITY I GET SO TRYING TO BREED MORPHS INSTEAD OF JUST HAVING THEM AS PETS.🤷🏽‍♀️

You didn't even talk about all the tax benefits!!! If this is an LLC, you're able to write off nearly all things you're using for that business. This can include things you might not think about like your house, electricity, phone, computer, and ANYTHING else that adds to that business. Obviously, you'll want to talk to a tax expert to ensure you're in the up and up, but there's a LOT to be saved from the tax man. These are good videos though, keep it up :)
