Hi! Dear! I think since I am teaching this course for consecutive semesters: 1. It is ideal to inculcate nationalism and patriotism in just one semester. 2. Reading the novel is impossible with the short period of time. 3. Teacher should be able to plan, implement and execute the subject in more interesting way where it catches the attention of the students and figures the nationalistic heart. 4. The end of goal of the course is unrealistic. and not thoroughly achieved. Dear, remember this is just my opinion but it really depends on the teacher how to strategize his/her lesson. More so, we are now invaded by the Chinese nationals who claimed our territory as it is their property. That is why, we need R.A. 1425.

Hi! Dear! Actually, there is no amendments happened at all even the law passed in 1956. It was the duty of the National Board of Education to create rules and regulation about the law. The law was not given any effort or time in Congress to embody the goals of the R.A. 1425

Hi, Mr. Miranda! First and foremost, yes, the RIZAL LAW which is REPUBLIC ACT 1425 warranted the goals and objectives of those people who sponsored the bill into law in 1956. They aimed to include Rizal as part of the curricula at the same time read his novels to open the Filipino people about the sufferings, animosity and tragedy of this nation. However, the aim - to inculcate nationalism and patriotism are not really achieved so well. One semester is not enough to instill these virtues to college students. But, I think it depends upon the teaching style and strategy of the teacher on how to teach and make this objectives be in reality. The objective per se is broad and vague in a sense that nationalism does not only achieved by studying the life of Rizal. This is just my opinion based on my experience. Thank you, dear!

There are some other details that Jose Rizal retracted everything he wrote against the Church and other said that it was not really authentic. However, on a bigger picture, whether Rizal retracted or not, IT DOES NOT MAKE HIM LESS A HERO. It should not be our basis for his sacrifices and legacy for the motherland.

No, that is not the punishment. Apparently, in the R.A. 1425, there is no punishment written but I think that the CHED is responsible for this to reprimand those instituion that did not completely implement the LIFE AND WORKS OF RIZAL.
