A decade before Breitbart, there were social penalties for being caught in lies or misrepresentation - things like MAGA propaganda, where there is a drop of reality behind a gallon of BS and spin. Now about half the voters seem to prefer alt-reality, even citing one sentence from hours of inflammatory speeches as proof that a rally's organisers didn't intend a violent result.

I am a PA resident. This guy is challenging Bob Casey. He has lived in NY and CT most of his adult life, now trying to try to pull a “Dr. Oz” in PA. Go back to your expensive home in Westport CT where your children live. Also, he ran a commercial chanting “let’s go Brandon” during 2022 Super Bowl. I can’t stand that disrespect of President Biden. When McCormick runs his ads on TV in Pennsylvania he never says that he's a Republican. That should be a dead giveaway that he's trying to hide something

PA resident here, yeah he's been lying his entire political career. Not just the usual political stuff, but to the point where he's playing a character that was entierly fabricated. I find it difficult to associate Republicans with common sense, truth, integrity, basic decency, empathy and respect for people, institutions, law… Very disheartening and disturbing.
