Hi Martha. This was a totally fun, vibrant little board book! It's the first time I've ever seen you, and I do know your filling in for the wonderful Nina, while she's on vacation. I'm in your court, I too just LOVE bright colors, yet most of my work is vintage and lots of old photos, browns and sepias. But I'm so happy to see you took the plunge and tried these bright colors. It's SO beautiful! I also might add, I love you very soothing voice and wonderful instructions. Thank you.

Hope you will give it a try! When I first started trying collage just a few years ago I really didn’t know what I was doing. The more I did it the better I got at it. I don’t feel like I’m an expert by any means, but I’m usually satisfied with what I make now. So my advice is to just start doing it as much as possible, watch RU-vid videos, and I think your knowledge and confidence will grow💖

So if you want this journal to be a journal as I do, can you show examples of what paper you'd use over the top of so many decorative seams already on the page. Would you use lined paper? Thank you so much!

I think you could add a heavier weight paper such as cardstock or mixed media paper. Sorry I don’t write in journals so I don’t have any examples to show.

These are beautiful. I didnt quite see hpw you did the cover in the end? Did you wrap the paper aeound the edges of thr pages?

Thanks! I attached papers on the front and back covers in the same manner as the inside pages except for the spine area. I cut away the original spine of the book so that it can expand. I think I used a heavy duty bookbinding tape on the new spine, but you can use another kind of tape - with extra glue - or fabric. I hope this explanation makes sense. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

I bought my washi tape container at Michael’s or Joann several years ago. It’s a clear container with three drawers.

Thanks so much for watching. I bought that paper many years ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still available. It’s 6 1/2” Paper Pad called Anthology by Kaisercraft
