Ever since their debut 2 years ago NewJeans has been doing 'neu-retro'. Even before their first song their agency trained them by performing covers of classic 80s-90s hits.

NewJeans react songs like - OMG, ETA, Super Shy & Hype Boy.. Add 'Cool with you & How Sweet' as well

NewJeans are generally chill pop, with most of their songs having a very nostalgic (80s, 90s, or Y2K) vibe. They tend to incorporate vintage club and dance beats (UK Garage, Jersey Club, House, New Jack Swing, Miami Bass, Moombahton, Drum & Bass), but with their signature smooth, highly melodic, and catchy vocals. Seriously, they do not put out a bad song. However, if you polled 10 NewJeans fans what their top 5 songs are, they would all give you a different list. My favs (in no particular order) are Ditto, Supernatural, Hype Boy, Super Shy, and How Sweet. But honestly, I love all of their songs. There are pretty much no other artists I can say that about.

Newjeans is (for now) the only artist in label agency called ADOR. sadly Ador is (a subsidiary label) under HYBE , who blatantly two faced from the start to beginning, saying they will support newjeans but stabbing them behind newjeans back by manipulating media, try to fired ador CEO, and try to stop Newjeans activities for 2 years (under pretense of searching for Grammy winning producer for newjeans). But court had sided with ador in the hybe vs ador case. Even with that , HYBE still sneakily tried to made an appeal just few days before Newjeans fanmeeting in Tokyo dome japan 26-27 of this June, but ofcourse they failed. Why hybe keep being hostile with newjeans? Because hyeb CEO is uncreative and jealous. Ador CEO called them out by doing internal report (for those hybe and other label CEO misconduct like plagiarizing newjeans concept and formula for other label's new girl group and suggesting ador CEO to cheat record sale number) and right after that this giant multi label in south korea harrased ador CEO, staff, directors and ofc newjeans members. Only for ador CEO to called them out once again but this time by making a live press conference 😂, which south Korea netizen dub it as one of the legend and hip hop conference ever 😂 to the point people start to parody and replicate ador CEO iconic clothes that time. Many time Hybe try to shut down newjeans but failed miserably. Even one of the choreographer who plagiarized newjeans choreo still attacking them saying, that newjeans 80/90s concept for this song is forced 😂 Newjeans is a group consist of 5 teenagers but their spirit is really hip hop. Keep moving and fighting even after hurdles, how can people not fall in love with them ? ❤
